Willie Smith’s Apple Shed have just launched tours of their on-site distillery, where you’ll learn about how they make their delicious Charles Oates fine apple brandy. Just 30 minutes drive south of Hobart into the beautiful Huon Valley at the home of Willie Smith’s Organic Cider, groups will get the opportunity to get up close to the working copper still, Australia’s only Charentais Alembic still, and learn about the French art of cider distillation.
This is followed by a guided tasting of the Charles Oates spirits matched perfectly with a food plate and cheese platter designed by the Willie Smith’s Apple Shed Head Chef.
Groups for the distillery experience are set at a maximum of ten people so that they are given the best opportunity to talk with the distiller and enjoy their time learning about and tasting the Charles Oates spirits.
