  • Landscape Restaurant & Grill – creates unforgettable dining experiences in the heart of Hobart’s Hunter Street waterfront precinct at Henry Jones Art Hotel – now open.
  • Frogmore Creek CityFrogmore Creek will open a premium wine lounge and restaurant development on the emerging waterfront of Macquarie Wharf, located in the new MACQ01 hotel site – opening mid-2017.
  • Me Wah Restaurant – the highly-acclaimed and award winning Me Wah restaurant will open a new restaurant at Wrest Point – opening date TBA.


  • The RACT has revealed its plans for a redevelopment of Freycinet Lodge on the state’s East Coast. Designed by a large consultant team led by well-known Tasmanian tourism developer Brett Torossi, the planned development will include the installation of a lift and accessible suite in the main Lodge building, along with six new rooms and nine new accommodation pods on the existing site. The nine new pods will replace six existing cabins, creating a new offering believed to be the first of its kind in the world.
  • The Rosevears Hotel in the picturesque Tamar Valley, near Launceston, officially opened last week with 26 boutique accommodation units overlooking the Tamar River, with capacity to sleep more than 60 people. The first stage of the project included a new glasshouse dining area, beer garden, corporate boardroom/entertainment space with balcony and a hidden, temperature controlled wine cellar. The final stage will be a 40 to 60 berth marina.
